  • Here, in the quail farm we can rear more than 70,000 birds that produce up to 20 million quail eggs a year.
  • Factory’s capacity is 1 650 000 quail eggs per month.
  • On 2015 May 19 the Food and Veterinary Service recognized the SIA “EKA PAIPALAS” poultry slaughterhouse. At the same date the Food and Veterinary Service recognized the SIA “EKA PAIPALAS” production of the egg's products. 
  • On 2015 June 8th quail farm "EKA PAIPALAS" were certified ISO 22000:2006.

Healing qualities of quail eggs

Quail eggs are worldwide known for their effectiveness in nutrition, combating various conditions - they treat a number of different

diseases and ease the process of certain diseases. Consumption of quail eggs especially helps curing chronic cholecystitis, bronchial asthma,heart conditions and conditions of nervous system.

Quail eggs are rich in vitamins and mineral substances, moreover, one gram of quail egg contains

  • 2,5 times more A vitamin and
  • 2,8 times more B1 vitamin and
  • 2,2 times more B2 vitamin

than one gram of chicken egg.

Five quail eggs, which is a mass equal to one chicken egg,

has a higher phosphorus and potassium content and 4,5 times higher iron content.

  • Unlike chicken eggs, quail eggs are hypoallergic; in fact they can reduce allergic symptoms. Allergies are treated by special substances which are contained by quail eggs; therefore they are used in production of various antiallergic drugs.
  • Quail eggs contain lysozyme which can split the cell wall of bacteria, thus hindering formation of tumours in human body.
  • The nutrients in quail eggs help body to get renewed during postnatal period, as well as following an infarction.

An invigorating face and neck mask

Ingredients:

  • 3 - 4 quail egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1 small potato

Preparation and use:

Heat an oven till 180 degree temperature in Celsius, put

the potato (with skin) in it and cook for 40 minutes. Peel

the skin and cool a little. Smash the potato, add the egg

yolk, milk and mix it thoroughly.

Apply the warm mask onto face and neck and keep for

20 minutes.

Afterwards wash it down with warm water

COOKING

Baked quails with dried fruits and shallot onions

Ingredients:

  • 4 drawn and dried quails
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 2 slices of white sandwich bread
  • 5 dried figs
  • 5 dried apricots
  • 15 hazelnut kernels
  • A small handful of raisins
  • 12 shallot onions
  • 100 g of dry grated bread
  • Olive oil
  • Freshly grind black pepper
  • Salt
  • A large needle and a hard thread

Preparation:

  • Heat an oven till 240 degree temperature in Celsius. 
  • Mix an egg with milk in a bowl, cut off crust of the bread slices, immerse the slices into the egg-milk mixture. 
  • Cut the figs and apricots into extra fine pieces and chop the nuts into fine pieces. 
  • Smash the soaked bread with a fork, add fruits, raisins, a half of grated bread and a half grind nuts. Mix everything, add salt and pepper.
  • Fill this mixture into the quails and sew up each of the quails with large punctures.
  • Spread the quails with oil and put into a heat-resistant vessel.
  • Mix the leftover of grated bread with the remaining nuts, add salt, pepper and pour the mixture over the quails.
  • Put the unpeeled shallot onions in lines around the quails.
  • Pour a glass partly filled with water into the vessel.
  • Lower the oven temperature till 230 degrees in Celsius, cook the quails for 40 minutes, in 20 minutes switching their sides.
  • Cooked meat should be white; if it is still pink, it should be cooked ten minutes more.
